About BGC

Nonprofit work leans into our better nature as humans, to look out for and take care of others. It can represent the best of us. However, intention does not always equate to impact; and the social sector can uphold harmful systems including racist, classist, sexist, and ableist structures.

Our Mission: Working towards justice, joy, and abundance for all.

The Better Good Collective (BGC) is a boutique consulting firm that supports nonprofits and philanthropy to achieve their goals. We meet social impact organizations where they are, and support them in service of greater and more meaningful - or - better good. Our core services include:

  • Strategy Co-Development – We co-develop strategies that align an organization’s purpose, capabilities, and community needs.

  • Governance Work – We collaborate with teams to establish internal and external agreements, structures, and norms that enable everyone to efficiently contribute their time and talents.

  • Implementation & Innovation Support – A strategy is only as effective as its execution. We build capacity of leadership, staff, and partners to ensure every strategic plan translates into action, including designing new solutions capable of scale.

  • Collective Action – No single organization can solve the world’s most pressing challenges alone. We support collective efforts by playing organizing, managing, and consensus- building roles.
